J.D. Power has added an Airline International Destination Satisfaction Study, a new syndicated survey that measures passenger satisfaction with airlines flying from North America to Europe and from North America to Asia. It is based on performance in nine factors: in-flight services, cost and fees, aircraft, flight crew, check-in, boarding, immigration, baggage, and reservations.
Between the USA and Europe, top customer satisfaction was gained equally by Turkish Airlines and Virgin Atlantic; next, with three out of a possible five stars, were came Air France, American, British Airways, Delta, KLM, Lufthansa and United. Between the USA and Asia, Japan Airlines uniquely got top marks, followed, with four out of a possible five stars, by ANA, Delta and Korean.
