Momentum Ski’s seventh annual Mountain Gourmet-Ski Experience is scheduled for 12-15 March 2020, at Courmayeur Mont Blanc Italy, with sponsors including The Financial Times and Swiss airlines.
This year’s star chef is Tom Kerridge, whose airline affiliation is, perhaps ambiguously, with British Airways – his name is plastered all over his national carrier’s M&S food-to-buy brochures as he has designed one-bite hot steak pies, for Economy passengers to purchase (he also puts his name to the ale that is suggested to go with it).
Tom Kerridge’s day job is at the superb Corinthia Hotel, London – he also has his own freestanding places, and he is working with Manchester United at Old Trafford as well as heading the Bull & Bear in that city’s Stock Exchange hotel, owned by two former Manchester United players.
On this Thursday to Sunday ski exploit, Kerridge will be joined by Claude Bosi, who cooks at Bibendum restaurant in London. There will be two tasting menus, one on the mountain at La Chaumière, reached by cable car, and one down-town at Grand Hotel Royal & Golf (sadly, reviews on its site, https://grand-hotel-royal-e-golf-courmayeur.hotelmix.co.uk, seemed to stop in 2016).
London-based Momentum Ski was set up by its joint-MDs Loredana Barindelli and Amin Momen in 1996. As Armin Momen says, the company has a single vision – to enable everyone to enjoy the whole alpine experience as much as he does.
